Profile Readout is run by House of Kapow, LLC (“we”). This page explains what we collect when you order a review, what we do with it, and when we delete it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@profilereadout.com.
What we receive
- Your email address and the answers you give on the intake form: what you want to be known for, and optionally who needs to believe it, what you sell, and your LinkedIn profile URL.
- Up to eight files from the LinkedIn data export you download yourself: Profile.csv, Positions.csv, your Shares file, Inferred Credibility Scores.csv, Skills.csv, Endorsement_Received_Info.csv, Recommendations_Received.csv, and your Comments file (the comments you wrote on other people's posts, with their dates and post links).
- Payment confirmation from Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we never see your card number.
Some of these files mention other people, such as the names of people who endorsed or recommended you. We use those details only to count and date endorsements and recommendations, and we don't reproduce other people's names in your report.
What we never receive
Your browser opens your LinkedIn zip on your own computer and uploads only the eight files above. We never receive your messages, connections, contacts, invitations, search history, or billing records. We never log in to LinkedIn, fetch your profile, or use LinkedIn's API. If you give us your profile URL, we show it on your report cover and never visit it.
How we use it
- To show you a free preview of what your export contains.
- To write your report. Code counts every number in it. An AI model drafts the explanations, profile copy, and post briefs from those counts, and a person reviews the report before it's sent.
- To email you about your order: your private link, reminders while your order is open, and the finished report.
We don't use your data to train AI models, and we don't sell or share it for advertising. Our AI requests go through OpenRouter, which we configure to use only model providers that don't store or train on the content we send.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel: hosting, file storage, and privacy-friendly page analytics that don't use cookies.
- Neon: our database.
- Stripe: payments.
- Resend: email delivery.
- Inngest: running the background steps that build your report.
- OpenRouter, and the AI model provider it routes each request to: drafting report text.
How long we keep it
- If you upload files but don't pay, we delete the files after 7 days.
- After your report is delivered, we delete your uploaded files after 30 days.
- Your report stays at your private link until you delete it. We keep it, along with the drafts it went through, so your follow-up review can compare against what you received.
Deleting your data
Your report page has a “Delete my data” link. It deletes your files, your report and its drafts, and your order record, and it can't be undone. We keep only what the law or our payment processor requires, such as a record that a payment happened. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.
Your private link
We don't create accounts. Your order lives at a link containing a long random code. Anyone with the link can see your order, so treat it like a password and don't share it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For open orders, we'll email you about any material change.
